General

This condo in Ibis at the Beach is a study in tropical luxury. This is a small, very high end, building. It is located just 40 yards from the Langosta Beach Club where you will be a full member during your stay. The club is located on the most family friendly and beautiful beach in the area. The home also faces the 600 acre nature conservancy and estuary giving you the best of both worlds.

The home is a study in attention to detail from the travertine limestone floors to the teak ceilings. The kitchen appliances are Bosch and the kitchenware is from Williams-Sonoma. All of the furnishings were custom hand crafted in Costa Rica.

The weather in Tamarindo allows you to experience indoor-outdoor living 12 months a year and the home is designed with this in mind. Large pocket doors open from the great room to a covered and fanned outside sitting and dining area. Each bedroom features its own covered outside sitting area again accessed through custom teak pocket doors. The mater suite now features a new King bed.

The Langosta Beach Club features a full gym, exercise studio with many classes, huge infinity edge pool overlooking the warm Pacific, private cabanas, a tropical French restaurant and a pool and oceanside bar. Club attendants will take chairs, chases and umbrellas to the beach for you.

Pura Vida Luxury Rentals provides on site full concierge service for guests.

We have more than 50 restaurants in Tamarindo with 4 that I would call world class. 30 of them are within a comfortable walking distance of the condo. You will be overwhelmed with the range of water and outdoor activities available in the area. It is also one of the best places in the world to just kick back and relax. The Costa Rican’s say Pura Vida.

Tamarindo

Tamarindo

In the heart of Guanacaste’s Gold Coast is the seaside town of Tamarindo, a small village that has been known for decades to surfers and sophisticated travelers alike as the embodiment of “pura vida” or the “pure life”. Tamarindo is about casual, leisurely lunches by the sea, surfers bicycling towards the beach holding their boards, colorful signs pointing gaily to local shops and restaurants and a stroll from a bustling town out to a promontory to listen to the waves and watch the spectacular sunsets over the Pacific.

Sports and nature

Sports and natureThis is the perfect place to learn how to surf. Playa Tamarindo is a long beach, with excellent waves near the mouth of the estuary. Currents can be strong, especially on a falling tide. Tamarindo has two main breaks for advanced surfers: Pico Pequeño a rocky point in front of the Hotel Tamarindo Diriá and the excellent river mouth break across from Cabinas Tsunami called El Estero. The rest of the beach breaks are perfect for learning. The biggest waves can get up to 12 feet, although only during November and December. There are other eco-friendly activities including watching turtles during their nesting season at night, diving, snorkeling, body surfing, zip-lining, estuary trips, horseback riding and fishing. During the December to April period when the water turbidity is low, fishing may be done from the shore.
