General

This condo is bright, airy and very well decorated. The great room, covered outside sitting and eating area as well as the covered outside guest bedroom lanai look out onto a 650 acre nature conservancy. We are often greeted in the morning by a troop of howler monkeys. What a spectacular location and less than 100 yards from the ocean.

Every piece of wood is plantation grown teak. This includes the ceilings, cabinetry, doors, window surrounds and all of the custom built Costa Rican furniture. The kitchen appliances are high end Bosch stainless steel with kitchenware by Williams-Sonoma. Unusual in a condo, there is a separate laundry room with a full size Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer. The master bedroom suite now features a new King bed and its own flat screen TV.

Our 10-home Ibis at the Beach building is located just across the street from the Langosta Beach Club. You will have full membership privileges during your stay. The club includes an infinity edge pool overlooking the warm Pacific, chairs and umbrellas on the beach, private cabanas, a full gym, pool and oceanside bar, French restaurant and available exercise classes.

Full on site concierge service is provided in the building by Pura Vida Luxury Rentals.

We have over 50 restaurants in the area with about 35 of them within comfortable walking distance of the home. There are an endless number of activities in the area that we are able to plan with you. Some of them include surfing, sailing, sport fishing, zip lining, volcano tours, horseback riding, golf, tennis, hiking and just relaxing.

Tamarindo

Tamarindo

In the heart of Guanacaste’s Gold Coast is the seaside town of Tamarindo, a small village that has been known for decades to surfers and sophisticated travelers alike as the embodiment of “pura vida” or the “pure life”. Tamarindo is about casual, leisurely lunches by the sea, surfers bicycling towards the beach holding their boards, colorful signs pointing gaily to local shops and restaurants and a stroll from a bustling town out to a promontory to listen to the waves and watch the spectacular sunsets over the Pacific.

Sports and nature

Sports and natureThis is the perfect place to learn how to surf. Playa Tamarindo is a long beach, with excellent waves near the mouth of the estuary. Currents can be strong, especially on a falling tide. Tamarindo has two main breaks for advanced surfers: Pico Pequeño a rocky point in front of the Hotel Tamarindo Diriá and the excellent river mouth break across from Cabinas Tsunami called El Estero. The rest of the beach breaks are perfect for learning. The biggest waves can get up to 12 feet, although only during November and December. There are other eco-friendly activities including watching turtles during their nesting season at night, diving, snorkeling, body surfing, zip-lining, estuary trips, horseback riding and fishing. During the December to April period when the water turbidity is low, fishing may be done from the shore.
